Hello every body. Why don't all of you share your most memorable kayaking experience?
I wanted to share my latest kayaking story. I saw 11 manatees on the same day, and one of them was a little baby with his mama. He was only about 3 feet long, hiding in the shade of a bush. The best part was, when I was swimming with one of them, he actually turned around and swam back up to me :) they usually just kind of float away when they are done getting petted. It was beautiful. And my little sister came down from Orlando to go with us. We played on a rope swing. Oh what a great day.

Tue, October 18, 2005 - 6:36 AMManatee's are soooo cute. I went snorkeling in Crystal River, FL in 2000 and had many coming up to me to get a good scratch. I hope they start regulating power boats a little more. Many of these gentle creatures have a lot of scars on their back's from boat engines.
cheers
