I just picked up a Necky manitou a couple weeks ago.....and have been on a couple of over night trips already (Sauk river in WA). I'm new to Portland and would like to get out on the rivers nearly everyweekend this summer. Doing it solo is a bit of a pain in the ass......hitchhiking back to my truck with a 13 foot boat blows :-)

Let me know if you all can suggest any good rivers within 3 hours of Portland.....good camp sites, decent fishing, not too many roads around, and nothing more than class 3-4 whitewater.

Also.....if anyone wants to hook up for a weekend trip lemme know!!
